Award-Winning Physical Therapy Services
ORS is known for its expertise in therapy techniques. Manual therapy is a hands-on intervention aimed at releasing restrictions and impairments in specific areas of the body. Our Lansing physical therapists are skilled in various manual therapy techniques, including:
- Graston Technique
- Manual Therapy
- Dry Needling
- Piezowave (Acoustic Compression Therapy)
- Strength and mobility exercises
- MFD (Myofascial Decompression)
These techniques allow us to provide effective treatments and help alleviate pain and improve function for our patients seeking manual therapy services.
These techniques are used to improve tissue extensibility, increase range of motion, induce relaxation, mobilize soft tissue and joints, reduce pain, and decrease soft tissue swelling or inflammation. Manual therapy is highly effective for a variety of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, and more.
Additional Advanced Treatment Options
In addition to manual therapy, we offer other advanced treatment options to enhance your recovery:
- Vestibular Therapy: Enhances brain control of eye alignment, movement, focus, and visual processing, particularly in relation to the inner ear.
- Dry Needling: Relieves pain and improves range of motion by releasing trigger points through the use of thin needles.
- PiezoWave Acoustic Compression Therapy: Utilizes mechanical stimulation to treat acute and chronic pain in muscles, tendons, and joints, leading to increased circulation and pain relief.
- Myofascial Decompression (Cupping): Decompresses adhesions, reducing stiffness, pain, and improving tissue health and mobility.
- Jaw Pain (TMJ/TMD) Treatment: Addresses temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) through physical therapy techniques, reducing pain, improving jaw movement, and alleviating daily stress on the jaw.
