ORS History

Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists - Founded in 1987 in Jackson, MI

Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists, P.C. was originally formed by Jerry Malone, PT, and Richard Kohler, PT in 1987. In 1991 they added Kevin Barclay, current CEO, followed soon after by current co-owners Brandon Klump, and Aaron Holly, both of whom started working for ORS and worked their way into co-ownership.

Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists is headquartered in Jackson, Michigan, and has 11 locations throughout mid-Michigan. All of our physical therapists are licensed in the state of Michigan and provide exceptional care and compassion to our patients.

Why Is It Spelled Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists With an A?

When the company was formed in 1987, according to Jerry Malone, the founder of Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists, the 2 owners were deciding on a name. Since there was another company doing physical therapy in Jackson with the name Orthopedic in the title, Jerry and Richard decided to put the A in Orthopaedic Rehab so that the company would be listed higher in the phone book and in the yellow pages ahead of their competing physical therapy company.
