VEstibuLAR AND OCULAR Rehabilitation for concussions
Concussions can happen to anyone, of any age, at any time. The signs and symptoms of concussions are wide-ranging and can include, but are not limited to:
Vestibular symptoms such as vertigo, dizziness, visual disturbance, and/or imbalance that stem from issues with the inner ear.
Ocular symptoms such as headache, eye strain, blurriness, diplopia (double vision), oscillopsia (blurry vision), frontal headache, and poor eye tracking.
Vestibular and Ocular Rehabilitation improves the brain’s ability to control eye alignment, movement, focus, and visual processing along with the inner ear, when stimulated. Visual and balance skills are reinforced through repetition and integrated with cognitive/motor skills.
ORS Vestibular and Ocular Certified Physical Therapists will design a personalized plan of care to reduce symptoms and return the patient to every day activities without limitations.
